After two years of remembering, writing and revising, my first book is finished.
It began as a way to honour my late wife, who died during the pandemic when no funeral was possible. It became something larger — a record of a journey across Eastern Canada, carrying her ashes back to Newfoundland, the place she loved and chose for her final rest.
This book follows that 5,000 km path: the coastlines, the birds, the whales, the weather, the grief, the random encounters and the moments of despair and joy along the way.
